canff good idea, only problem is see is jump ships...
gives an advantage to them. This is mainly cause they can jump directly into those trade galaxies. What good is a planet galaxy to defend against a fleet of jump ships?

it gives it more flavor....alliance needs to mine their whole planet galaxy, as well as trade galaxy, also makes the use of the IST more an all game ship then just an early game ship

sorry but this is the dumbest idea I've heard yet. don't see why a whole new game needs to be started over a joke that got out of hand.
whats the point of playing this game if every time something goes good for some and bad for others the whole game needs to be 'changed' or started over....

Simple you mine your trade gal... and heck if they jump in they have to jump out... and with warp jumps you miss a lot so will prob jump into mines in the planet gal... lot of risk..

i agree reset won't happen but this idea is for any new game.....we need to spice it up.. if it is now or in 3 months the ideas need to come out...

Canff, the problem with that idea is that it hugely benefits the large established alliances that can hold that kind of position. It is bad enough that the big boys are able to build lucrative planet galaxy routes, now you want to hand them a ready made trading galaxy all to themselves? Bad idea.

any alliance could use this map... and you will always have 1 alliance with more vets then the rest in any map ... and they will take the best planet gal and have an edge over everyone... who ever can get the most ships on at one time will win, thats how this game is set out....

all maps have a vet edge now that newbie games are gone....

The current map was a good design, it was the lack of active alliances that made is hard, in all other games all galaxies where built up and defended, seems this game there was a lack in galaxy owning alliances and a smaller player base.

The best alliances will always succeed, but that is no reason to tip the playing field even more in their favour.......
