Re: More NPC's!!

ED your not alone. I feel as they are they shouldn't exist. However roving bands of pirates, or Fed Cops defending good aligned traders in racials as well as responding to port raids would make the npc interesting.

Imagine a small fleet of Warrants responding to a PR. Some would think twice ;)

Re: New Dawn - Initial Impressions

It is up to the alliance leadership to find a core that are both willing and able to be coordinated for op times. Also, there are plenty of unemployed and students out there. The game desperately needs to advertise and get new bodies in here. The days of word of mouth or mpogd pushing enough folks i...

Re: New Dawn - Initial Impressions

As fun as this would be, I don't know what the feasibility is, plus I don't know how many people would go for it. They wouldn't go for it, because most are afraid to put in the effort to succeed. This game doesn't have a level req for ships. So even semi-actives should be capable of opping if funde...

Re: New Dawn - Initial Impressions

If as Holti claims a significant proportion of the player base wants no interaction the game might as well be shut down. It is doomed to failure with such a mindset. Why waste the time and money?

Re: New Dawn - Initial Impressions

I will add to JJ's thoughts with some of my own. I will fully admit i haven't been the most active, but i have been around this and similar games for many years. First off we all have to admit the player base is tiny, and the old standards need to be reevaluated. Bases and mine stacks are both seemi...

Re: Unbalance

The delay wasn't quite so high on the ships used for hunting, but it did make for some very intense fleet battles where deciding to take a shot a bit early and take the acc + dmg hit could be worth it to get the finishing hit and stop them firing, or to pick off the key targets. At the same time SM...

Re: Unbalance

With high speed connections, a delay is a hard thing to implement fairly. Even a half second a shot is enough to give an outright advantage to the person who chooses to flee. ME solved this problem long ago with a weapon/drone recharge time. Of course, they have a holding mechanism. So a trader has ...
