I've always like these ideas. My only caveat would be each race would need at least one peace at +500 relations for trading to work early. It would seem there would not be enough routes otherwise.

Different idea so points for that. Don't like it. This just causes the game to slow down. Maybe this idea works better if you get rid of the borders between racials and only allow people to go to neutral at a certain point. Yeah doesn't seem that was thought through. Maybe put an UG at a bar in each racial and you have to actual enter each bar to find the UG HQ.

I think he means to say that when it's a solid line the galaxy has a definite stop/scare/corner to it via not letting sectors connect and if it not it can connect how the galaxy map renderer chooses. Is that correct?
