Re: Round 88 Concept Map

In a way, this is a ring concept but inside out. My thoughts were to have the racials clustered and weak racial routes to slow the game down, force peace, and increase early game hunting, which was limited this past round. The amount of walling can change connectivity drastically as well. Yes, chang...

I like the concept but CA/UNO and tunneling could make or break this map
What would you like to see done? We are also hoping to have exp for planet builds reduced for the round but no promises...

Round 88 Concept Map

Classic style map with the racials clustered as one galaxy in the middle. There are some quirks like planets in the neutrals and a lot of connectivity, so some tweaks for arming/preventing playing from fed will need to be thought of as it is implemented, but I think it's a good start. There will be ...

Re: XDemonX's Continuous Update Discussion

Honestly, I think a potential solution as I've texted to XDX is a competition committee. Take as many top vets as are willing to participate and essentially assign them to alliances once the normal teams form. I would be willing to participate and it would allow most people to play with others they ...

Re: XDemonX's Continuous Update Discussion

Your post is misleading, however, and poorly worded if not also off base. People play with who they want to play with. Sure, you would join us on occasion to make the game more competitive. However, people want to play with their friends. We recruited people we wanted to help, for example. I can't t...

Re: XDemonX's Continuous Update Discussion

So here's the problem - Every time I've recommended a change to drag out the early stages of the game, it gets shot down. Traders complain it's boring, oppers don't have the patience, only the hunters are happy. In my racial evolution game, I suggested locking everyone into the racials for an entire...

Re: XDemonX's Desert Oasis

Bouncer will be working on making the map shortly.

I will be out of pocket for a few days on business.

Azn will be leading one of the teams next round.

Re: XDemonX's Desert Oasis

Sadly, Hugh, I think we all agree this game has lost a lot more than it has gained. We are trying for a refresh through Astax but that will take a lot of time. I would like to believe that this new admin team has at least pushed for more changes and has at least tried new things over the past few mo...

Re: XDemonX's Desert Oasis

God this is getting so off topic again. Let's stop with the attacks. Azn - I only pointed out one example of where your play style impacted the player base. Players like Aendar and TJ, who are newer, returning vets, have much thicker skin and can take their lumps. Unfortunately, they are the excepti...
