Re: XP loss
Mathematically, yes, in comparison with other ships, no. Question? What does other ships have to do with XP loss? You know if you read this thread most of the complains is that you can not pod a high level player one time and make it so he/she can not use cloak anymore. I think that if someone want...

Re: Ports Upgrading Automatically
The NPCs don't downgrade anything though.Infinity wrote:You already have this buy NPCs trading the ports, and it is done in natural, logical and not forced way.

Re: Ports Upgrading Automatically
One of my favorite old school games is Civ 3, and strategic resource goods have a probability to be 'depleted', and then a new one be 'discovered' somewhere else. I think it would be cool, say every week of game time, 10 to 20% of the ports in each galaxy would downgrade (losing 1 good), and then th...

Re: XP loss
Honestly you are ignoring my point that LEVEL changes no matter what level is equal when it comes to the combat code and cloaking, the distance between levels is different yes but the code doesn't care what exp you are, it cares what level you are. I'm ignoring your point because you are wrong. A l...

Re: XP loss
Losing a level is equal at any level when it comes to the combat code and cloaking, like I had said... And I'm telling you it isn't. Putting in the work to get to lvl 25 at 65,045 and gain that bonus 25% accuracy (or whatever the formula is), to the work involved in getting to lvl 35 at 174,615 and...

Re: XP loss
Opping has a negative affect on your exp most of the time, because one death is crippling no matter what exp you are. I don't know why you keep bring up opping. It's irrelevant to what we are arguing about. I keep telling you that you don't op for xp. So the current rate of xp gain/loss from PvP ha...

Re: XP loss
Another thing, which I believe you are utterly wrong on is that you talk as though all lvls are equal. But the amount of work it takes to gain each different lvl is not the same (as evident by the amount of xp between each lvl). So kiNky losing 'only' 1 lvl at lvl 23 (50,964 xp) down to lvl 22 (44,7...

Re: XP loss
DC is 30 mill, and money is easy to recoup, so that's not much of a relevant statement. Secondly don't look at exp as a number, that is foolish to do when you are high. Look at level losses which are especially important with the combat code and cloaking. As for your bashing of opping, I think it's...

Re: XP loss
Come Find Me:) (98) has been DESTROYED, losing 29,777 experience. LotuS (90) salvages 6,891,321 credits from the wreckage and gains 13,606 experience. 175,588 + 29,777 = 205,365 What this all means, is that a 205k player lost only 1 level when he died. I want to see how this can be justified, the c...

Re: Current Jump Drive Formula
Ah, apparently I misunderstood Page's formula, and why you were propose to jump back & forth on a short route. Minimum turn usage should be capped at 10. Anything less than that, and JD becomes overpowered imo.
