Re: Jouldax - The Emerald Cut
i agree that 2 is probably a better number than 1. it gives you a comeback if you get busted, but not have 4 planets to make it pointless for attackers to get any cream. If you are putting the ports back into the planet gals, then i would question what are you actually changing really? Did you guys ...

Re: Jouldax - The Emerald Cut
then limit alliances to one or two planets for a round. still shorten the duration of the game. The point here is to develop a second type of map that can be cycled in and out with the regular planet gal map. The concept here is to try to create a map which encourages and highlights the trading aspe...

Re: Jouldax - The Emerald Cut
ok this discussion is getting long so im not going to read everything else before this just post my opinion. I am in favor of this map design and I am one of the players who is opposed to continuing the status quo galaxy build gameplay we have had. I have advocated for some big changes to strategic ...

Re: Post-NSF Op Rehash: Discussion
I would like to comment on Jouldax's statement on his current position regarding turn penalty for alliance switching. "As of right now, I'm leaning towards raising the alliance cap by 1 vet, raising the turn cap to 700, increasing the game speed to 1.75, and swapping 5 gens for 5 hangars. I wou...

Re: Post-NSF Op Rehash: Discussion
not only give notice, it will force players out of their respective alliances, limiting them on their ability to respond to attacks on their own territory, to mine, to trade in gal routes. When you have a large part of your alliance leave to join a third allince, they are unable to travel in their o...

Re: Post-NSF Op Rehash: Discussion
My opinion is to re-instate the cooldown for changing alliances. The point is to prevent multi alliance fleets. With the turn penalty you could still have a 15 ship surprise attack, albiet low turns, but still more than effective. I want to see a return to single alliance play. As far as the planets...

Re: Free For All Round(s) idea
Ive always wanted to see a more permanent style game running concurrent to the main game. A game like jester suggests with a long run time and a high play speed, that will keep players logged in with something fun to do, will have a great impact on player base. The only problem i see, having elimina...
