I don't know if this counts as nit-picking, but I couldn't help but notice that neither of the haikus posted in the GP Edition "Hunters (sic) Daily Journal" are, in fact, actual haikus.

The GP is better than it had been a few months ago, don't let it start to slip again.

Maybe if an e-mail was sent out to the huge numbers of people who apparently quit the game because DC broke into their houses and killed their puppies. Once they find out that big bad DC is gone and the game is no longer in the process of being "ruined", they'll come back in droves. :roll:

I believe there's 6 alliances that gonna have planet gals. Verbal alliances also once made for interesting multifaceted conflicts, as opposed to the "Rebellion vs. Empire" dogpile that seems to happen to verbal alliances nowadays.

The problem is that it's anathema to good reconaissance. Sitting back and letting the database do half the work for you certainly doesn't build good playing habits. As much as I want to see a really volatile setup with territory changing hands like money, there's definitely more satisfaction involved in actually having a patient, successful campaign against territory that's 70+ turns away.
