The idea behind it is a bit to split the map in two and make it more tempting to go into megali idea, build and stay there. then what do you propose as a mining time? I admit that i dont have a lot of experience with it. I just thought mining times as they are now ingame is a bit to long. I like te idea of each alliance picking its hour every week more but maybe we can put this into a draft game or a non-regular round. Maybe with a special map? This could turn out to be a lot of fun if prepared well.

i think there are more + some players tend to be more active at "euro" time even when they are non-euro. Just look at our op times. We chose them not because of "just" being euro friendly but because doing a survey, those opping times have the most chance of getting more ppl onli...

imho the reason why one alliance isnt counteropping the other is mainly due to the lack of players. If players decide not to play because of the lack of players....
