Other log off options are find a sector nobody uses (like a dead end) and park there. Or if you can take and hold a planet they make great log off places.

you do get 2/3 the cost of your previous ship as trade-in value though. The newbie merchant vessal is free so it has no trade-in value.

well i cant tell you where it is, but it is real. Most powerful shield weapon in the game. You have to be a deputy to buy one but it also has really low accuracy and does no armor damage. Also you will not be protected in fed with one. So you might want to think about waiting before you purchase one
