I like the idea. Exploring should bring advantages. I think you should either have to step in a sector or have it shared, in order to know whats there. Do away with buying maps IMO. The only racial you should be able to buy, is your own.

I dont like segregated gaming. The haves and have nots. People with credits shouldnt have a higher turn cap then those without IMO. Have you looked at any games lately? Its all about the 'haves or have nots' for example, Tribalwars. You dont need to by credits (premium points) to play the game, but...
