Well Thevian ships has a nice little trader called the Expediter for about 1.3 million.

As for maps, stop by chat and ask if anyone can give you maps. Or ask to join someone's alliance who has full maps. Mapping is much easier when you have a lot of members.

It has info on how to install SMC and SMC maps and also how to use SMC. You do have to have some limited computer knowledge however as it does not walk you through every little step involved.

Or blame me. Whatever. I just get a lot of ppl asking me every day how to do SMC stuff so I decided writing a quick web page would be better than having to explain it a hundred more times. Was also thinking of making a newbie help page but I guess several people have beaten me to it. Ah well.
