I don't think volume would be a problem...I mean, I'm not a coder, but Maneuverability Rating was created as a way to give a ship its "size" and as you add specific upgrades, it can change your MR. If you make it so that it can only carry "x" maneuverbility, then that might work...

Its not just the JD on fed ships, with your align increasing with excavating its damn hard to even stay evil. The natural curve is for people to go good now, the game naturally slants that way.
