Delete the old manual 1.5 threads and make a new section 1.6 open to all. I want to make a new manual. I would like some voluteeers to help write certain sections. I will come up with the sections in this thread (or in a new forum if moved). As a starter the sections will look like this.

• Introduction - Includes races
  Navigation (aka How your ship works?)
  Trading - Money, Experience and levels discussed
  -How to stay alive with forces and current players
  Ships and upgrading (technologies, ratings of ships and how they work)
  Combat
  -Being hunted(death and what it means)
  -Ship to Ship Combat
  -Difference between top racials and hunter classes
  -Mines and how they work
  -Combat with Planets, Ports and what is a fleet fight?
  Locations (various locations and how the new plot system works)
  Alignment and federation protection
  How politics and the ruling council work (war and peace with weapons and trading as well)
  Lists (Ship, weapons, experience for level and shop lists)
  Alliances (how they work and can help)
  How read news can be beneficial in different situations (ops, how to read port raids and when they reset etc)

Was there talk of a wiki at some point?

No clue i'm just trying to get stuff done. Give me back my admin

Just wondering because I thought it was brought up at one point but I think that's a potential way of getting a manual put together and might be easier? Either way I completely agree that an updated manual would be good

Wiki's are cool to, but i still would like a similar setup, and maybe some little videos on youtube on how to do navigate run, etc.

There's some videos at http://manual.smrealms.de/ and at http://video.smrealms.de/ but basically need to collect all the various stuff together and update it, luckily most is still pretty similar - unlike 1.5 :P

Wiki is a good way forward for now.

ya, i made a wiki when 1.5 first came out, before i made the site on azool's site...no idea what the URL for it was or I'd gladly hand it over to you

i think video tutorials are the best.
