Trade Goods Idea

So I would guess the idea of "Good" trade items has already been discussed as a counter to the "Evil" ones (narcs etc). What about adding race specific goods? Something you can only buy at certain racial ports. It might add an element to politics esp if they are incorporated into planet building somehow.
