The testing of the new Blood

Boldly walking into the Valley of Death, the new breed of players from the Newbie Games enter the new mixed universe. Traders hitherto unknown outside the Newbie Realms venture out to make a name for themselves with acquired skills, patience and sheer guts. It's a brave new world - but not one without dangers! All would do well to mark the outer galaxies with the old saying "Here be Dragons"... For it will be here, that the new blood shall face the Age-old legends of this game. New players behold The Deliverance. Seemingly an alliance like so many others, the rooster boasts names like Trigek, Cowboy, ARES, Vtreka, Conn, Mad Matt, Izzanods, Sterling and Inferno_Death ! To know them is to fear them! While some veteran players have chosen to merge into less experienced alliances to spread their knowledge, these guys are looking for blood. Know that The Deliverance will not be impressed by bravado or baseless bragging - they respect only the force of arms and the Power of the Pod. Will the new alliances stand the test through the willpower of the young - or will they perish before the might of experience? Fear the pod and you will die - confront your opponents with will and skill to succeed against the odds! This Ladies and Gentlemen will be the first true test of the New Blood!

Ik'Thorne Pushes for War

Just what exactly is going on behind the closed doors of the Ik'Thorne council? At a time when so many inhabitants of a war-torn universe desire peace, the Ik'Thorne council continues its stubborn war-mongering policies towards all other races. This aggressive behavior is made all the more astounding by the fact that Ik'Thorne weapons consistently perform worse than their foreign counterparts. Tulayrk, the embattled president of the council, was not available for comment. In the eyes of this reporter, the madness needs to stop.

Market Drops Amidst Drone Concerns

Ik'Thorne HQ (1357) - News today that Ik'Thorne Drone Farm (Exchange Code: IDF) would fall 8% short of its manufacturing goal of 1.6 million units for this fiscal quarter sent brokers on the floor of the Federation Stock Exchange into a selling frenzy. The market rallied late, but still saw a decline of 1.2%, largest yet this quarter. IDF is no stranger to missing its production goals. A similar incident was reported three years ago when a reactor explosion at IDF's main plant caused a galactic drone crisis, which in turn raised the standard price of drones to 10 000 credits. A price raise is not anticipated in the near future, and an IDF representative has reassured distributors that production would be met next quarter.

Naysayers Say Nay

A rogue llama was captured while wandering the streets of Port 1097. Two Federation officials were reported as being lightly wounded in the scuffle to apprehend the beast, and the llama is currently in "ill-tempered" condition at the 1097 Sectorial Petting Zoo. Opponents to the sector's proposed Llama Lleash Llaw still believe they have enough cannon fodder to shoot down the legislature, and have assured Galactic Post that they will continue to say nay at every opportunity in the forseeable future.

GP Poetry Corner

There once was a woman from Wight Who wanted to fly faster than light. She departed one day In a relative way, And arrived on the previous night. There once was a pilot named Nast Who wanted to fly really fast. He went on a trip In his Thevian ship, And he came back with infinite mass. There once was a trader named Gunn, Who went on a trip for some fun. When he gets home he learns He has ten thousand turns, So it's five hundred years 'til he's done. There once was a newbie named Duke Who tried to give Travdan! a spook. He shot out some sparks, But they all missed their mark, So Travdan! then fed him a nuke. There once was a port (level eight), That was doing fantastically great. Then along came a fleet That was incredibly leet, And the port met a terrible fate.
