Human Galaxy - At Risk?

There has been a significant increase in the number of mines surrounding the banks and fed sectors in the Human Galaxy. Most, if not all, of these have been placed by The Deliverance. Members of this Alliance have also been successful in podding quite a few members, in this Galaxy. Rumours with strong supporting evidence suggest that The Deliverance is trying to take over the Human Galaxy from head to toe. I attempted to contact Cowboy, Leader of The Deliverance, but he did not reply. Is this a sign?



The Battle at Manton

A 8O of Yen called Manton home at the beginning. All was lovely, until Carnival of Souls invaded the space taking over Manton. CoS built a well defense and have recently been attacked by several alliance such as Cereal Killers, A 8O of Yen, and Beer Hunters. None have been able to take the home from CoS, and will continue to struggle and fail. Even though CoS have been in trouble times the last past week, they are holding strong and teamwork is showing greatly. Will Manton be under control of CoS or will another fierce alliance try and take over? Only time will tell

Ik'Thorne reprogrammed their Combat Drones?

Varies rumors about the Ik'Thorne and their combat drones have come and gone the last few years, however a rather large number of hunters and traders are claiming that the Combat Drones from Ik'Thorne are programmed differently than they use to be. When researching further into this rumor i found that what hunters are referring to are called "The Lucky Ikky" its an event which happens only when Ik'Thorne Combat Drones are selected to target Ik'Thorne ships, some backup system in their code makes them somehow miss on purpose, some traders even claim their own drones turned against them! When asking the Ik'Thorne Drone Farm CEO about this rumor he had no comments, except this: "We are looking into some hacker problems recently, and have used an emergency system to make all drones avoid damage to Ik'Thorne ships, until we can get the problem fixed". Who are behind these "hacker" problems? Is it all juse a HUGE scam for an all out war attempt by the Ik'Thorne? Will it be possible to hunt Ik'Thorne ships again without fear of your own drones turning against you? and what will the Nijarin do about this?



Attack of the Suicide Raider

Treading undeterred this morning along a path, that others have followed with little success, ERic (1232) launched furious attacks against a port at sector 3061 in Nijarin Galaxy. Equipped with a hopelessly underpowered vessel, the trader found himself dispatched routinely by the port defenses to his local government HQ in an Escape Pod. This is not an uncommon occurrence among inexperienced traders, that have little knowledge about the defensive capabilities of the ACME Ultra Port Defender Pro package commonly used by ports in the region. As most people know even the level 1 version of the AU-PDP packs enough firepower to destroy most ships in one shot. Only capital ships stand a decent chance of surviving such an unfriendly encounter... What is unusual about this case however, is the fact that ERic just didn't take no for an answer. Within 7 minutes the trader launched 4 equally incompetent attacks against the same port - resulting in several disgruntled comments from local Flight Control Officials tired of guiding his Pods in to land at the Nijarin HQ. Dubbed the Suicide Raider by said officials, the question remains whether these events represents a significant overestimation of the intelligence of the Nijarin race, or whether the seemingly imbecile actions of ERic is the precursor of great deeds yet to be revealed. One thing is certain - this reporter will keep an eye on the news bulletins in the coming days as the operators of the 3061 AU-PDP unit look forward to more harmless target practice ...



Traders Take No More

The traders of yesterday are becoming tomorrow's hunters!!! Almost every trade ship has a weapon on board, because of the senseless hunting this early in the game. Armed with anything from a Small Lazer to a Human Shotgun, the port runners are out not to kill, but to preserve the life left in the galaxy, and restore economic balance in the star systems around us. Some of the best hunters have been known to complain that "when you go after one small fry, he is toast. When you go after two small fries, they're toast. But when you go after three small fries, the fry basket gets a little heavy, and a hunter's toaster only holds so many pieces of toast." If you could understand that, then youll understand this: HUNTERS, LOOK OUT, CAUSE TRADERS WILL NOT BE TAKEN LIGHTLY ANYMORE!!!!!
