Time's but another day, to sway away

Yes, what is in a day?
A simple trade, to fly away
from the perils that we seek?
Though the times bring a sleek
Towards the traders mind.
Some promotes the words, kind
to those who are.
That is obviously quite far,
For not too many do this.

Sitting there at the bridge,
As they all load up the holds,
I reach into my own fridge
To find nothing else but empty colds.
A message comes up,
Should it be friend or foe?
Or from a world corrupt?
Yes, Time's but another day, to sway away.
- A simple trader's life and thought -

Yet again another Merger

Another merger has happened between two alliances. Sepulchre and Clan Wolf have merged. The members of Sepulchre are currently in progress of moving their belongings and ships over to Clan Wolf's hangers. This was reported by an eyewitness, as the Sepulchre properties were vacated and abandoned.
Clan Wolf leader, Xurran, when asked about the merge said, "Well, what I intend to get from this merger, is a better, more honourable, and efficient Clan Wolf. We needed members who were dedicated. So Sepulchre and Clan Wolf decided to merge to make a better alliance. As for the future of Clan Wolf, we'd like to be a top 10 power. We want to make a name for ourselves and be recognized for who we are. We may not be the very best out there, but we'll sure the hell give it all we have."

As Clan Wolf now mounts the top ten rankings, it appears they have gotten a good start.

Alskant Use Peaceful Approach

The Alskant galaxy has apparently decided to abandon its tradition of being at war with everyone. Peace has been negotiated with the Nijarin most recently, and the WQ Humans have been at peace with Alskant for some time. Neutrality now exists with the IK-thorne, so things are easier for those looking for a port to trade or a shop in which to make a purchase.
So why has this happened? Maybe it's because Alskant traders are fed up with having to look for only Alskant ports to trade in, or maybe it is because of the increasing amounts of attacks in the Alskant area, and the swathes of scout drones and mines along popular trade routes (the Alskant would want to cover this up by looking friendly perhaps?) only one thing is sure, things are looking bright for Alskant traders as new trade routes are opened up.

Poor Hamster...

A trader was heading through Ursa Major, before there was all this war, and landed on a planet. There, he found a hamster and kept it in his ship. It became his best friend.
Then war came. He was returning to his galaxy by going to Ursa Major, which he knew was a bad idea, and he went into a sector where a planet was. What he didn't know was, it was under siege and his hull collapsed. He didn't have time to grab his hamster. He will try returning to get a new hamster, but the alliance who owns it now won't let him have one.

If war ever ends, he'll go back and get one. He waits and waits and wait for that day when there's peace...

Galactic Gangsters or Just Lucky?

It seems that Death Control is not getting enough money from bonding on their planets. They have now used their massive cash bonanza to flood the lotto market and stack the odds in their favor. Death Control members have won 3 of the last 4 drawings. Is it greed? Fantastic luck? A bad gambling habit?
The Galactic Post went straight to Death Control leader Sterling to get to the bottom of this. The DC leader roamed his luxurious office suites in Lacerta, rolling a pair of dice onto the big conference table which had been converted into a craps table (the dice came up 7 four times running). Sterling said that this was a conscious strategy on their part.

"Yeah, we have controlled death, mining, trading, life, planets, ports..." As he talked, Sterling paused to place a few chips at the Roulette table, then left a generous tip for the dealer at the Twenty-One table after his hand came up a winner. "The lottery is obviously the next progression."

Others don't like the turn of events. One trader found floating drunk in space was heard to say: "They (DC) feel they are so above the rest of us they believe no one deserves a good chance at getting money even through the lotto...I hope DC finds a giant blackhole and they all jump in it and never return to this universe."

One thing is for sure: you can't win if you don't play.

Turn of the Tide

The Swarthy Buccaneers have shocked Milliways political analysts by declaring war on fellow top alliance The Dogs of War. The Buccaneers, led by their captain, Captain “Captain” Steiv, made this bold statement on the heels of a successful campaign against Death Control, during which the Buccaneers held upwards of 60% of DC’s Lacerta stronghold.
Immediately following this declaration, the Buccaneers were able to rally support from a number of key factions, including but not limited to the Grand Old Party, Union of Pretzel Manufacturers, Pretzel Smiths, and Pretzeleers, and The Consortium of Funk.

When asked if he felt his alliance would have the resources to fight yet another prolonged conflict, Captain Steiv responded, saying, “Yar, we be havin’ enough doubloons to sink the Bermuda Triangle!” The Dogs of War leader LotuS was unavailable for comment.
