Galactic Post hits the presses!

After much anticipation and some technical difficulties (concerning a lack of ink), the Galactic Post has unlocked its office doors and officially opened for business! With a small yet growing staff, the Post hopes to provide you with the latest news and biggest intrigues in this small universe effecting our lives (and even those that don't.) Our investigative reporters with appear to work hard to find you the greatest scandals and most trivial events that you could possibly conceive of wanting to read about until the nasty censorship fairy shuts us down (or boredom). Currently, we are without a home (as it has been yet undecided if the Post will enjoy the exclusiveness of its own folder or banished to the Portal.) Until such a decision is made, we’ll be here. Please make any comments in a SEPARATE TOPIC and leave the integrity of the paper unvarnished. Enjoy!

Administrator gets the pink slip; Spock thinking of closing shop.

After repeated complaints over his abuse of power and personal actions, MrSpock, designer and heathen god of SM, stripped Ender of his Administrator powers. As of yet, the former Admin has been relatively silent in the community and unavailable for comment. Sources stated that Ender is hurt by the allegations and his subsequent demotion. Yet amidst the apparently valid complaints about Ender, Spock has received countless invalid, rash, and immature comments and allegations ranging from inappropriate behavior to outright cheating. Increasingly perturbed by these comments, Spock has considered taking the ultimate action and closing the doors to SMR entirely. Will this mean an end to the Spacemerchant community (and this paper) forever? Or will the Administration receive an overhaul and a thicker skin and learn to handle the untamed masses? More to come as things develop.

The Forsaken Take a Commanding Lead...

Dominating the rankings across the board, the newly re-founded Forsaken have taking a daunting lead other their counterparts. Yet will this lead be allowed to last? Brotherhood of Steel has be making great progress and looks to be at least a moderate obstacle to the Forsaken juggernaught. Fallen Angels, though suffering after the retirement of its founder Blade, also looks to create some competition. As the game progresses and the pilots of these alliances transfer over into warships, we here at the Post expect to see the conflict heating up. The only question is, is who will strike first, and against whom?

Planetary Shields Rumored to Jam Scanners

Investigating reporting has brought in rumors of a recent software upgrade released by Julian Arms Megacorp (JAM) to planetary defenses. This new software, which was supposedly distributed in secret to all owners of JAM Shield Generators, alters the shield frequency modulation, limiting the penetration power of the standard vessel's scanner, preventing the detection of parked spacecraft. JAM officials were unavailable for official comment.
