A Bumpy Path Before SMR

by GalacticPost Writer1

In recent days, Spock made it perfectly clear that SMR itself is struggling to maintain it's life "couz of people", rocking the entire SMR community. There are currently numerous rumors and problems facing this growing game. We here at the Post had a chance to probe the minds and thoughts of some of the games most important people; the admins and op who know as much as anyone aside from Spock himself.
One of the biggest dilemmas facing the game is the question of multi accounts. In recent days, Azool has posted numerous messages about "32 possible" cases of multi's accounts, of which 23 were later disabled. Such numbers show that multis is a huge problem for the game to deal with. What can be done? Azool had no real answers other then to continue the crackdown and hope players don't take advantage.
Darth Maul said he was "disappointed" in some regards and threw the idea that perhaps a "special" game could be offered by Spock to help bring the community together. No further information on what "special" meant was provided, but hopefully in due time, we will be able to supply all of you with the ideas being tossed around.
Nariis, one of the predominant chat moderators in game, was quite frank with me on numerous issues. She gave the game a rating of 7 as of now and was just as hopeful as the average player that "features in old game will make it's way into this one". Nariis seemed to understand the tough situation Spock is in with work and lack of time, and came across with nothing but patience. In regards to chatroom policy, Nariis went on to claim that there has only been "1 ban in a month" since she become op, whom she could not recall the individual's name. When inquired as to possibile preferencial treatment of friends, she replied that she "had to kick friends, they know I don't play favorites," without hesitation . Such a policy could soon have the chat room difficulties well on their way to being fixed.
Basically, the game has it flaws despite the fantastic work of Spock and his crew. Hopefully alliance politics, alignment and drone damage can be fixed in the near future to continue the progress towards having our beloved game back.
One controversial decision made in the recent revamping of SMR administration was the dismissal of Ender from the staff. Sources show that two strong yet unknown in number support groups wish Ender's and Blade's returns to the community. Dramatic situations, such as that between Blade and Ender, provide another serious threat to the game, denying the community the enthuasiasm of of it's most emotional and devoted players. This paper hopes that such threats to the game will bring people to work together instead of the total opposite.

Some Giants Fall

Two kills of notable interest occurred today, both executed by the indomitable cloaked FU fleet of The Forsaken. Thyme, the #3 terror of the space lanes, was tracked down in a remote corner of the galaxy by Dragone, who apparently caught the hunter napping at the controls. Tough luck, Thyme.

Yet on the hunting side, things did not all go badly. Xero, at the time the #10 trader in game, was tracked down on his route and podded by Warlock. Warlock credited the kill to the assistance of his alliancemates, who stared at the galaxy map blankly to come up with possible routes.

(Editor's Note: From this day forth, we here on the Galactic Post staff regret to inform you that a Daily newspaper will not be possible due to a lack of material. Frankly, yall are just too boring.)
