Add Teryllia to Unsafe List

Many shop owners and bank tellers in the Teryllia galaxy were woken up Wednesday morning by the sound of laser fire coming from their local UNO hardware store. Members of the Army of Cuda and State Force were blasting each other in close proximity to the hardware store located in sector 1611.

Store owner, Alvin Potts, had much to say about the devastation and destruction caused by these two superpowers. "These alliances are a menace to the galaxy! They think they can come in here with their fancy ships to buy shields and armor only to blast it off of one another seconds later. It disgusts me!"

Teryllia has traditionally been a peaceful galaxy where hardworking traders come to buy and sell their goods. But the recent outbreak of violence has many proprietors and entrepreneurs in the area very concerned.

Galactic Post: In Living Color

Early this morning, the Galactic Post editorial staff received a crash course in newspaper aesthetics. As a result, the Galactic Post is announcing new color coded articles.

Racial and inter-alliance politics will now be published in green. War coverage will now be seen in red. Articles that focus on one alliance will appear in orange. The sports column will now be gray. And all other miscellaneous columns will remain white. Color coding it still in its beta stage, and is subject to change.

The Galactic Post is also going to accept one or two "Letters to the Editor" to be published in each issue! Letters can be sent to the editor [Chibi (Heart)] via PM. Letters do not need to come from current staff writers of the Galactic Post. Letters published will also include the name of the letter writer when the new issue is released (unless specifically asked to remain anonymous). The Galactic Post would like to encourage traders throughout the universe to voice their opinions. GP articles are written objectively; in contrast, letters to the editor are encouraged to be opinion-based.

The GP hopes that color coding and the new Op/Ed section will contribute to reader enjoyment, as it continues to find new ways to better serve the community.

Apus War Continues Despite AoC Shakeup

The Army of Cuda alliance is under new leadership these days. Veteran player, Cuda, after whom the alliance is named, resigned his position as leader after weeks of rumored infighting and division amongst AOC. Cuda named Lotus as his successor.

Experts say that it is too soon to tell what changes the new leadership will bring to the Army of Cuda. Residents of Apus were hoping that perhaps the "Army of Lotus," as they are being called informally, would bring peace and stability to their homeworlds.

This hope was shattered, however, when a war fleet of Crusaders ships made their way into Apus and attacked a planet. Spokesmen for either alliance were unavailable for comment, but apparently, the war between these two alliances for control of Apus did not end with the reign of Cuda.

GP Sports Column: Thevians On Top

The first place Thevians lived up to their title in today's Merchantball game against the Humans. Every Thevian trade was nearly countered by a Human score of their own, but the Thevian bend-but-don't-break defense prevailed, allowing only two single-trades after all four quarters. The Thevians advance to 4-0 as they beat the Humans by a score of 8-2. The Humans are now 2-2.

What was an explosive Ik'Thorne team early in the season has been quelled by a WQ Human team that showed up to play aggressively this morning. The WQ Humans now have soul possession of second place with a record of 3-1 after defeating the Ik'Thornes by a score of 7-1. When asked about their recent success, the WQ Human coach replied, "I feel that with the emergence of Illusion and the concurrent prominence of the WQ Humans, our expectations are higher. Hopefully we can keep this up and bring our boys home a trophy."

The Nijarin team found their first win by slipping by a Salvene team, who has seen a number of very close losses this season, by a score of 3-2. This is the second game this season that the Salvenes have lost by one point, and last week they lost by a super-trade that was scored at the buzzer.

After last week's win, the Alskant government appointed some of its massive budget to upgrading their Merchantball team's ships. The result of which being a smashmouth performance by the league's once last-place team. Though the Creonti squad scored the first point of the game with a supertrade at the very beginning, the Alskants showed no mercy as they conquered the Creonti team, 12-3. The usually strong Creontis club now has the last ranked defense in the league.

The Creonti team has gone back to the drawing board, and has also acquired three new pilots to operate their two defensive backships and their goalie vessel. The Alskant team continues to program their new vessels for tenacious offensive play, and the Thevians keep practicing their standards of excellence and dominance in this league.
