Hall of Newbies, or Hall of Gods?

Recently, two alliances have put forth terms of merging: The Newbies, and Hall of Gods. The two alliances have been seen becoming one in the past few days, with members of The Newbies joining Hall of Gods.

When asked to comment on this merge, Baalzamon replied, "It seemed to make sense. A couple of The Newbies members approached me about it, and it seemed good, two small alliances that get along into one large alliance that gets along, makes sense to me!"

We have yet to see if this new alliance manages to take hold and move up to the ranks that System Failure, Army of Cuda, Rogue Squadron, and Crusaders have forged, could this be the beginning of a five way power struggle? The Galactic Post will be there to report anything and everything, so stay tuned!

Zili Re-Devastated

Once again, Rogue Squadron has invaded Zili galaxy. To begin with, they attacked a single planet. The two alliances encountered at a nearby UNO Hardware. . In the 10 to 7 fleet action, no rogues died. All 7 System Failure members, including Jester, were podded.

The owner of the UNO, Janos Idanian, had this to say, "Why can't these alliances butcher each other away from peacekeeping folks? I've had to relocate seven times now because of fleet fights always happening on my doorstep. It's high time the Government stepped in and stopped this nonsense. ." Residents of the Zili galaxy expressed similar feelings, also stating that they didn't care who ruled them just as long as it was peaceful.

After busting a couple of planets, the Rogues proceeded to gather along the System Failure super-route while one Rogue utilized the route himself. System Failure had re-shipped and were waiting to attack. They killed six of the scattered Rogues before they regrouped and claimed yet another 4 System Failure ships.

Having rebuffed System Failure's attempted defense, the Rogues reshipped and set out to continue their assault on Zili. They took several more planets, encountering little resistance... Leader Wedge Antilles, and officer Darth Kryak were Rogue Squadron's only casualties during the next wave of combat. Both fell to planet 2242, though at separate times.

After plundering Zili to their satisfaction, Rogue Squadron flexed their muscle to gain more planet busting experience. Supporters of System Failure wonder how long it will take for them to substantially resist Rogue Squadron. Can System Failure continue to sustain their losses? Only time will tell.

Midshift Market Report

Brokers in Wall Sector rejoiced as heavy dividends paid off on several stocks. Investors everywhere have made fortunes in light of recent happenings in the galaxy.

Economists seem to agree that this modern surge of cash-flow is being fueled by the war economy.

"What you see here is a coming together of wars that has industrialized the universe! On one hand we have Rogue Squadron and System Failure, and in an entirely different galaxy we have the Army of Cuda fighting with the Crusaders. And let's not forget that Illusion just seems to be at war with everybody," explained chief Beerfest economist, Roy Mason.

Among the conglomerates soaring in stock prices was UNO Hardware. Especially in neutral galaxies, they have been boasting record profits. Some investors who took their stakes in the Zili brand of UNO Hardware are reaping exceptional profits.

Others who are finding themselves rich are those who invested in Hall of Gods Inc. early on. The organization's trading philosophy, along with its successful merger with The Newbies, has brought a mountain of wealth to its shareholders as their experience rankings have ascended to the top.

The last tier of proprietors that have rejoiced as of late are those who invested in the Thevian Talismans merchantball club. Their latest plight of success sparked a wave of nationalistic consumers to purchase record amounts of Talismans gear.

Even the lottery has been producing higher gains than normal. The last draw showed a $16 million yield to Smor, which means at least that same amount was fed back into the hospitality industry.

This has been a Galactic Post market report, coming to you from Wall Sector to Main Sector.

Systems and Rogues Continue to Fight

The conflict between System Failure and Rogue Squadron has seemed to outshine all other news within the universe. Some traders are wondering how long the conflict will last, if the fighting is solely over territory, or perhaps if operations are being unleashed out of pure spite.

Rogue Squadron began as a rookie training alliance back when the Green Skulls presided over the New Boundaries universe. Over time, they've mostly stuck with tradition in raising traders as their own. The Rogue Squadron grassroots philosophy has recently been questioned by the general public, however, in regards to their recent ousting of several lower-ranked members in exchange for higher ranked veterans.

System Failure saw its first days of glory back in the days of Swingline, when it boasted current high ranking Rogues such as Jake Beavy and Canff. System Failure has been a consistent force throughout the galaxies, though they have undergone a series of name changes. Some believe that this alliance's power may have peaked last game, though others think that until now, System Failure has been a sleeping giant just waiting to be provoked into a massive militaristic movement.

A Rogue Squadron fleet of sixteen ships was seen being amassed this evening. Word spread that they were about to undergo a series of substantial port raids, but planet attacks weren't out of the question. Among the people concerned about the emerging fleet, Jester voiced his peeves publicly.

"Is it now Soul's new alliance?" criticized Jester. "So much for taking alliances to help train newbs. . .so you just boot them all and make another vet alliance." Jester shortly thereafter went to his quarters to sleep for the evening.

Public opinion is yet to grow sympathetic toward System Failure. However, a recent poll showed that people are skeptical of Rogue Squadron's recent maneuvers.
