Tip of the Week
Today I am going to teach you another easy, but very useful tip when trading. Many different traders have many different tricks and different techniques when trading.

As you know, the faster you trade, the less time it gives the hunter to come after you. To increase your speed while trading, it is best to know your route inside and out. Being able to travel your route manually (without plotting the sectors) can save you several seconds which could mean life or death.

Another technique traders use while trading is the local map. When trading in the local map, you can see what is around your trade route in all 4 directions if you have a scanner. Some hunters like to surprise a trader when they trade. They sometimes sit one outside the port and bombard you while you are trading inside the port. When trading with local map you can see this and avoid the hunter by just simplify backing out and heading to fed. Hopefully this addition of Tip of the Week will help save your experience and prevent you from returning in an Escape Pod.

?!?!
There seems to be a plague, there are 8 planet galaxies, and only two of which are claimed and fortified at all, is this planned? Or is this a lack of strong alliances? It has been seen that there has been a surge in fed-based hunting and OPing, as shown by Hardened Crewminals and Armory, however, is this game showing that Planet Galaxies have become unnecessary? There haven't been as many turf wars, unless you consider busting entire racial galaxies and mining and hunting to the point where no one can get in or out without running into a hunter.

This game has shown harder to maneuver, harder to build, longer to arm, yet there has been much more interaction, albeit it has been dangerous for everyone involved. The longer arming routes haven't stopped Fed hunting, and the influx of planet galaxies hasn't shown an increase in turf wars as was foreseen. What we have instead is massive minefields in racial, routes becoming more and more rare, hunters seemingly everywhere, and a dangerous universe as a whole, even if inter-racial peace is at an extremely high rate.

So is this map a failure? Or is it merely a round for people to adapt and evolve, using techniques in different ways, forcing others to adapt or perish. There have been many complaints, but are they complaints because the complainer can't adapt, or is it because the way this map is built really IS bad, and the players ARE playing dirty? Are the planet galaxies empty because of lack of planetary interest? Lack of funds? What is going on in the SMR Universe?!
