Trade-Master needs changing

maybe we should improve the trade master to encourage more people to be alskant? and trade more?

either improve trade-master or make PSF worse, PSF is better than trade-master if you have little time to play and the small advantage it gains from its tph is very small, also you need to be out on the trade-routes longer to drain them giving hunters longer.

Human got HPT and Dessy and HBC, guess what will win... ATM or Dessy...

A human trading in a PSF and then getting Dessy or DC will prolly do better than an Alskant trading in an ATM and then getting DC, look at hunters... how much ppl are hunting human compared to Alskant?
HBC is a good miner... Alskant only have traders. And ATM is only better than PSF if your using a route far from fed.

No the ATM is always better than the PSF. It just gets better and better the less perfect the route is. And quite frankly I think it's fine. If you play Alskant then you must want to trade. The ATM gives you a little edge without putting you so much ahead that other races can't keep up somewhat. I see absolutely no reason to change this, especially not with so many other changes being discussed currently.

And quite frankly a DC with laser setup is not bad. I managed to blow away a good few PSFs with that.

still too much of an advantage. It will give some races an unfair advantage over others (remember that if alskants can trade with race X, then race X can also trade with alskant). Something alskant specific is better, I still like my suggestion of perfect prices at lower than 1000.

problem is that chances are they will never get to use that less than perfect relations.

Or how about they don't start with perfect relations with every race but like 0 relations, that they are neutral... means that they can trade but can never get perfect relations (unless they get peacew with a race and raise relations which would happen anyway if they got peace and raised relations. That way they can trade other races but will have to bargin for it. Or if that is seen to be still too much of an advantage, just like PV said 0 relations with 2 random other races.

so, alskant and a couple of other races start out with access to many more outer galaxy routes than everyone else.......can anyone say IMBALANCE?
