Newbie/Vet game seperation is a must for SM. When I start a new game or a beta I look for things that I can have fun figuring out as a new player so I can have my little short term goals to work towards while I am learning the game. The history of SMR regarding new players like trainees to play with the existing players. There is nothing to figure out because there is always somebody there to tell you how to play. That is no fun. All the fear that if newbies die too much they'll run away is silly. When people were left alone to play and hardly knew an admin's name, that's when this game was really fun. You knew everything was running smoothly.

The original SM tried a graphic (somewhat) interface and it never really took. I would have to look way back to find the name, but anyhow, maybe that code is still out there somewhere. Hell, I'm not even sure if anyone remembers that crud when it went Beta.

i like this gui...it is functional and easy to read. A classic, really. What is needed is to expand the voting to include the many voting sites extant. there must be dozens of game rankiong/voting sites...free(?) advertising. use them all.

The interface doesn't need to be anything crazy and revolutionary as far as browser based games go..

It just has to be somewhat relevant and clean looking. Modern.

i just wanted to point out that half the player base has under 100 exp.

70ish people have zero exp.

Im cruious to know of those people how many have even moved.

Thats a huge portion of players that logged in and said "ya know what i dont want to even bother"

Imagine how awesome it would be right now if we had even 70 more active players.
i killed orca.
