IRC - HELP

i downloaded a client. x-chat aqua for mac.

when i go and try to join the server it wont let me. i have set the server as : irc.coldfront.net and port at 6667

do i need to select toe SSL button? (what does this do?)

also i would try the preset servers and it wont work either.. do you think my secured school internet blocked it?

note : i have also tried typing in /server irc.coldfront.net 6667

Try ice.coldfront.net, not irc.coldfront.net

I use port 7778 with SSL enabled, that should hopefully bypass any school blocks that are in place.

i figured out the problem. i had to change the port to 5556
