Newbie Guides?

Does anyone have like a compilation of player written newbie guides or even general knowledge things? I've done some in the past and I'm sure every alliance has done some form of write-ups. I was wondering if anyone was willing to share those with me in a word or text format so I can share them with my new(er) players.

I know we have the manual etc but no one seems to read that and I can put these on my boards and share direct links with my players in IRC. Even if you have something you can copy / paste in here that would be great. I'll put together my own compilation and make a google doc out of it.
