Patch preview

Post by Astax »

Let the flames begin!

Firstly I added contrast around the racial beacons to make ti easier to read.
Added few more icons to make almost all hardware locations unique.
Added new tooltips, much more responsive than the stock img ones.

Added a little thing to make life easier, picks up all the drones you can:

And one that drops up to 50 drones:

You now can change three colors that designate how your enemies, friends, and players that cannot be harmed appear:

Picking the new colors and saving them will change the color of the force icons and trader icons you see on the local map as well as the examine buttons:

(Yes I forgot to change the tooltip for trader to new one... I'll make a mini patch right after)

Also there is new color chart for your Alignment:
- holy >= 200
- 200 > good >=150
- 150 > slightgood >=50
- 50 > even >= -50
- -50 > slightbad >= -150
- -150 > bad >= -200
- -200 > evil

Finally since I know you guys are a****** I added an option to turn off all new icons along with other stuff:

Resulting in:
classic2.png
(UG being invisible... I'll fix that before the patch is live)

I'm unsure about color-coding a player that can't be attacked. I feel like that removes some of the randomness of the game (where you are unsure if a person is protected until you take the time to examine).

The rest looks great though. Nice work!
I+N+C+O+G+N+I+T+O=Not you

I took a calculated risk. Unfortunately, I am bad at math.
