Because it was requested to have european admin to cover time gap in admins being on.

There were other euros that could've fit, but they weren't in AS, so I guess it was a moot point.

The problem is, how can we know if he's active enough, if the majority of SMR don't know who he is?

Does he post on the webboard?

For one, I've seen Strike around for many games. Just because he is quiet at times doesn't mean he isn't active. I brought your concern upto Spock and his answer is:

Fair enough. I'm sure that the people who say I'm complaining would have the same concerns if someone like Crusher or Redseal were admins (two very active people but aren't really well known). My problem isn't with him, but the fact that I (and many others) don't know him. Nothing else to it. He doesn't have a bad reputation, he has NONE (to others who haven't played in his alliance). But it's your word against mine, and he better do a good job
