if you want to be an effective hunter, learn to be a good trader ;)

Trading teaches you some valuble aspects of the game, which can be used when hunting; such as exp gains, survival, and thinking like a trader. Im not saying that being a great trader is going to make you a great hunter...far from it, but it will instill in you some mental techniques which will enable you to call upon at the drop of a dime when you are on the prowl, or more importantly, giving chase.

Dont hunt like everyone else does...its too obvious. Like i said, think like a trader. Im a diehard trader, and i know basically all the tricks in the book, and how to avoid them. If you want to be a truely awsome hunter, you need to learn to pull maneuvers off that your targets dont expect.

Each time you head out to hunt, set yourself some goals; and dont get sidetracked from them, or you will just end up wasting turns...basically, stay focused and on track. Calculate your total time to hunt(ie how long you can be on-line and in the game), choose your hunting grounds, and confine yourself there...you dont want to use your turns wandering around aimlessly, hoping to get lucky. Learn the lay of the land around your hunting grounds: eg the routes back to fed space, area uno's, weapons shops near fed space, hot spots in your area for both hunting and trading, know who/when also hunts in that area, and above all, learn how to traval in local map. You need to learn how to get to all the important locations if the need arises, and w/o having to punch in the numbers via plot course.

Use your head, study other peoples tactics so you can counter them, and learn from your mistakes. The tactics you employ make you a feared hunter, not the number of kills you get. And have patience! So get out there and put the fear of god into the hearts of all us traders, and your enemies ;)
