NPC kills should not give kill count

i don't know it takes a little work and luck to get the npc help gadget...not everyone gets it... and if you are the one doing the attacking and drop the npc you should get something for it.. why lose a kill just beacuse you use a gadget to help.... it is like saying if the Hades Missile System kills somone take that away to.... see where i am going....

Thats not what we're talking about here though canff.

We are talking about getting a mission where you have to kill an NPC, not where your NPC kills another person.

Well, i sure wasnt talking about a protector getting the kill.. Pretty sure blade wasn't either.

This post is talking about players killing NPC's, not players being killed by NPC's. And as it stands currently, there is no reason why you should get the kill credit for killing an NPC because NPC's are just the equivalent of really really small ports...You dont get kill credit for killing a port so you shouldnt get kill credit for killing an immobile NPC.

But to offer an opinion on canffs scenario, i think that in rankings, for the kills stats, your protector should count as you. Your protector kills someone, you get the kill, because its just another weapon.

I dont mind that they count as kills, as u do have to shoot them, and there is always a slight chance u die to the npc.

Not sure if I agree that they should count as a kill. Like others have said its more like attacking a port, and depending on the port level there is a high chance of dieing.

I was on about the NPC that is called when you activate Call for help, which sits there doing nothing, and you kill it... you get a kill count, why it;s a sitting target and on the port thing, when the ranking systen works you get a ranking for ports busted.

NPC kills should be seperate from player kills.

Agreed. Even once they start moving, attacking first and what ever they're supposed to be doing.

If you kill an npc... don't get a kill
If you use your npc to kill someone you should get the kill.
