How do you find / know illegal items are for trade?

To see and trade in illegal goods, your alignment must be below -99. There are a few ways to do this, but the fastest and least dangerous is to go to the underground HQ and become a gang member.

This will lower your alignment to -150, but is only available to players who have alignment between -99 and 99.

The location of UGHQ changes from game to game - just like any other location. You will just have to ask people in game in order to find it, or, alternatively find it yourself. There are a small number of sites on the web that should be able to help you find some. If you want to know what the URLs are, just ask. Now, the UG appears on a Galaxy map as a normal location once it is found. So, if you don't have maps of the galaxy already just join Password Maps and you should get a fair portion of the galaxy mapped for you. When this is done, just scan over all of your maps to see if you can locate it yourself.
