1. UNOing is the action of visiting a UNO. This is the location where you can purchase shields and armour for your ship. Thus UNOing is usually refilling shields and armour.
2. When you dump goods you lose a turn and some experience to have the goods removed from your ship. The goods dropped basically just disappear, and they cannot be regained or picked up.
