Post by Harry Krishna »

Being able to turn off scout pings from individual players or individual sectors would be useful.

along these lines i was going to get them to code it so the scout messages comes up in a lil pop up window so you can move and look at the messages

Wouldn't that negate the SMR credit tech? Or are you talking about changing the tech to open it in the pop-up?

Also, got to be careful, cause alot people have pop-blockers now.

Good ideas all around, it would be nice for both hunters and traders. Along the lines of the ability to turn on/off scout pings would be nice specialy if your a member of the largder alliances and u dont want to get pings from forces inside your galaxy.

In addition to this, it would be nice to add the feature to NOT receive msg's about ppl adding/removing forces (which on a side note is gramicaly incorrect :)

As for the pop up, i'm not sure that it would work, like BOB stated alot of ppl run popup blockers now.

while the ability to turn on/off should be given. Such things as the pop up should require credits. How this would work without making the current tech obsolite, i'm not sure maybe someone else has an idea

Requires discussion on scout filtering.

Ability to ignore add/remove forces already implemented.

I think we should allow filtering of adding/removing forces.

Maybe a pay SMR credit for filtering options to be applied against "entire alliances only" on a per game basis.

This is what I was getting at with my initial idea of turning off the messages or at least setting npc scout messages in a different color than player scout messages. That idea was rejected. Make up your minds, people.

On further thought, turning off npc pings should be a pay privilege. You put scouts out there to get pings - it's your job to sort through that mess.
