Would be easier to have it a set list of 'bonuses' for each day. So day 1 your get 100,000 or x turns etc up to day 7th... and with multiple things for each day, you wouldn't be certain of what reward you would get. Adds that little element of 'surprise' daily. Because the same items over and over would just get boring IMO.

I think this still sounds good, we could do bonus turns say extra 1 per consecutive day up to 7, with each day after 7 consecutive maintaining the 7 bonus since we are down to one voting site.

No. You got me wrong. This has absolutely nothing to do with voting sites or extra turns!
For logging in to the game you get a bonus each day, one per game you playing. It starts with a very small bonus and value of bonus (which will be defined) increases on second, third day. If you miss a day you start at day 1 again with the low value bonus.

Votes are game specific.... far as i know.
What we're saying is for your "bonus" you'd get an extra 3 turns day 1, day 2;6 day 13: 12 etc to whatever per day to whatever the max is...

No. Don't pin it on votes or turns, god dammit
This is just an example:
Day 1: 10k credits
Day 2: 50 turns
Day 3: a free shield gen on your planet
Day 4: a free IST
Day 5: a free who knows what
Day 6: an uber cool free item that is even better than the one from day 5
Day 7: 5 SMR credits

A good idea to make people login everyday would be to increase turn rate.

It's suppose to be simple one time items. Increase in turn rate should not be permanent at best for the current day. But that makes the implementation will be more complicated than necessary because it would need to remember throughout the day where we are. For one time items you can check at login and are done with it.
Although an increased turn rate for a day would motivate the player to actually play on that day not sure if it's a bonus with to much impact. Here a serious list of items that could be given away in no particular order:
* x SMR credits
* x credits
* x turns [always nice to get, more turns. if it will get you over the cap, cap it. period. no substitute]
* a free building (gen, hangar, turret) [if you don't own a planet nothing is given. period. no substitute]
everything from this list:
* CREDITS_PER_GAL_MAP
* CREDITS_PER_NAME_CHANGE
* CREDITS_PER_TICKER
* CREDITS_PER_TEXT_SHIP_NAME
* CREDITS_PER_HTML_SHIP_NAME
* CREDITS_PER_SHIP_LOGO
* a load of free cargo was dismissed earlier because people thought it's more a burden than a helper
any more ideas? can we put numbers on those bonusses and bring em into the right order? By the way if we end up with only 5 items it's fine. we could also end up with 20 items. 7 was just an initial thought. The idea is customizable.
